Afiki Beach House.
Your Authentic Fishing Village Escape on the Ghana Coast
Afiki is located in the peaceful fishing village of Ankwanda. Afiki is just 25 minutes from Elmina Castle but feels a world away. We are reached by a quiet dirt road - it’s the path less traveled, and that is exactly why our guests love it.
Our Story
Afiki Beach House was originally envisioned in 2003 by Apostle Stephen Kofi Baidoo as a personal sanctuary in Ankwanda, later evolving into an eco-boutique beach hotel to share its peace with the world. Following Stephen’s passing in 2019, his family has remained dedicated to preserving his legacy by providing an authentic, beachfront experience that honours his vision of rest and restoration. Today, we take pride in being a Ghanaian-owned beach destination where guests contribute to the continued story of our home and the surrounding Ghanaian coast.

More About Afiki Beach House
Afiki Beach House is a small boutique, eco-friendly beachfront hotel in Ankwanda, Ghana. We are a mostly quiet place for travelers who value peace, simplicity, and authenticity.
